The Messages in the Moonlight website and URL (http://www.moonlightmessages.com) are paid for out-of-pocket by myself, Evylyn Rose. The choice to avoid another experience with the site as we had when Geocities decided to shut its doors and pay for a domain and web-hosting was mine without any encouragement from the community or fans of the website, forums, and newsletter. However, during the transition of Messages in the Moonlight from a cost-free website to one that is now paid for, a few members of the forums and fans of the website and newsletter mentioned an interest in donating to help with costs. To adhere to this desire, I have created this page as a means of donating to help cover the costs of hosting the Messages in the Moonlight website.
Donations will first and foremost go towards the cost of the domain (www.moonlightmessages.com) and hosting of the Messages in the Moonlight website. In the event that donations received are greater than these costs, the remaining funds will go towards other aspects of the Messages in the Moonlight community to include making the forums ad free, upgrading features on the newsletter, removing ads from the Top 100 list, and any other current or future features of the Messages in the Moonlight community that have paid options.
Messages in the Moonlight is not a charity, and, therefore, any donations will not be tax-deductible. Any donations will come to me personally, and will claimed as income in the form of gifts. I give my word to keep any donations received in an account designed specifically to fund Messages in the Moonlight.
Donations are highly appreciated. However, they are not expected, and anyone who does donate, even as little as $1, does so of their own free will with no coercion.
